The total retail sales of social consumer goods of China in December 2024 amounted to RMB4.52 trillion, notching a YoY growth of 3.7%, more than the expected increase of 3.6%; among which, retail sales of consumer goods excluding automobiles amounted to RMB3.95 trillion, marking a jump of 4.2%, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) announced. The total retail sales of social consumer goods of China in 2024 amounted to RMB48.79 trillion, up 3.5% YoY, in line with the forecast; among which, the retail sales of consumer goods other than automobiles amounted to RMB43.76 trillion, up 3.8%.
